AD Integration
Active Directory Integration is configured in Admin > Security > AD Integration.
The Dossier server itself is not connected to your AD server. It used the connectors to proxy the authentication requests to your Active Directory server. A connector is required to be installed in your environment. Please see /wiki/spaces/HOME/pages/18579478 for connector installation steps. If you are using one of the Dossier for Lync products, you can assign the AD functions as per the guide to one of the connectors already installed in your Lync environment.Ā
Once the connector is installed, AD authentication can be configured in the AD integration page.
- Select the appropropriate AD forest and click Save Changes
- In the Groups section click on the + icon:
- In the resultant page type in the AD group you would like to allow access to the Dossier server. Choose the group from the drop down list.
- Select the user roles for the users in this group and click Save changes. For user role details please seeĀ User Roles.Ā
- The users in the selected group can now log into the server using their AD credentials.
Multiple groups can be added to the system with varied User roles. If a user happens to belong to two or more user groups then the roles from both the groups will apply to the user.
IMPORTANT
Keep in mind that AD integration will only work if one or more of the connectors have the "Authenticate Users on Selected Forest" option enabled in their Active Directory configuration page.
