Dossier Users

The Dossier users found under Admin > Security displays all the local users accounts and AD user accounts who have access to the portal. 

Creating a Local User

Local users can be created to provide users access to the dossier server. The below steps show how a local user can be created.

  1. Click on the + icon on the top right of the Dossier users page. 


  2. Fill in the resultant form, choose the permissions for the new user and click Create new user.
    The descriptions of the available permissions on the system are listed in User Roles

Editing a User

Users can be edited once they have been created. The following functions can be performed on an existing user:

  • Resetting Password.
  • Disabling the user.
  • Editing the user's display name, login name, mapping and permissions. 

To edit a user, click on the users name on the Dossier users page and follow the below steps.

Resetting Password.

  1. Click on the reset Password icon located in the top right of the user's page.

  2.  Enter the new password in the resultant window and submit the change.

Disabling the User.

Disabling the user can be done by clicking on the disable user icon located in the top right of the user's page. 

The same button can be used to re-enable the user.

Editing the user's display name, login name, mapping and permissions.

  1. Click the edit icon located in the top right of the user's page.
  2. The resultant page will allow you to edit these values.
      
  3. Once the required changes have been made click Save Changes.
