Troubleshooting Connectors
If the connector does not appear in the list of connectors on the server then check the following:
- Make sure you can DNS lookup the hostname of your Enterprise Commander server (e.g. yourcompany.eventzero.net for cloud or commander.yourcompany.com for on premises) from the server that the connector is each server ā if you use a proxy this isnāt necessary
- On each server you install the connector on, make sure you can connect to https://yourcompany.eventzero.netĀ with a web browser ā preferable IE
- Check the CERT when you connect with the browser and make sure that itās not being intercepted by a SSL proxy. It should be registered to Event Zero if its legitimate.
- If these all work then uninstall and resintall the connector being especially careful of the following:
- Check that the address you enter when installing the connector is the correct hostname of the server and make sure it isnāt entered as a URL (do not enter a protocol)
- Make sure you have checked Use SSL if your server uses SSL (always the case for a cloud server)
- Finally if all else looks good and it still doesnāt work, grab the log files (C:\ProgramData\Event Zero\Connectors) and send them to support@eventzero.com
