Overview

It is possible to install Enterprise Commander alongside Greentrac.

Logically Enterprise Commander is placed in front of Greentrac so that all traffic goes via the Enterprise Commander server.

Greentrac traffic destined for Greentrac is proxied to the Greentrac server.

Deployed Client Agents will report as before but Enterprise Commander accesses what data it needs.  Although legacy DMA versions will work with Enterprise Commander, a lot of new information and features provided by Commander will not be available without upgrading DMA to a Commander aware version (forward of v5.1.x).

The presence of Enterprise Commander will result in no visible change to end users who are not administrators of Greentrac. Greentrac continues to operate as before and remains unaware of and not dependent on the presence of Enterprise Commander.
