About the DMA Agent
The Windows DMA Agent is an MSI package that can be used in the following ways;
- Standalone manual installation.
- Configured for automated software deployment delivery.
- Included as part of an image build / SOE.
The Windows DMA Agent is available for download from the Event Zero Resource Centre.
Software Deployment Tools Compatible with the Windows DMA Agent;
- SCCM
- Group Policy
Supported Versions of Windows;
- Windows XP
- Windows Vista
- Windows 7
- Windows 8
Port Configurations
The DMA can be configured to use the following ports;
- Port 80 for HTTP (Default).
- Port 443 for HTTPS.
- Port 443 for when Greentrac is connected.
Installing the DMA Agent in Server Mode
The DMA agent can be installed in two modes, the standard mode or Server Mode.
Server Mode is designed to ignore power actions that if carried out on critical servers would cause significant outages & impacts. As servers are critical infrastructure the DMA is installed in Server Mode through a manual installation of the Windows DMA Agent, during the installation there will be an option to select if you would like to perform the installation in server mode.
DMA Server Mode
The DMA Agent Server mode can only be selected at installation, existing installations of the DMA Agent that are not in server mode will need to be un-installed & re-installed with Server Mode selected during the installation process.
