Polycom have added the feature to attach a Trio to a Skype Room system or Surface Hub this is done by setting the config parameter device.baseProfile  to SkypeUSB.

The only functions available in SkypeUSB mode are:

• Answer calls
• End calls
• Mute/unmute audio (microphones)
• Adjust loudspeaker volume

The SkypeUSB mode in effect turns the Trio into a basic USB speaker phone. Once in this mode provisioning isn't required as there is nothing to provision and UDM Pro is no longer required for these devices.

NB: There are reports that even when factory resetting a Trio in SkypeUSB mode it doesn't always go back to normal Trio mode. This is third hand information and may not be current with the latest release of Trio firmware.
