Move device files off of the C drive

With version 2.1 the facility to move the device files (c:\ProgramData\UDM Pro Bridge\Data) from the C drive to another drive has been added. This is done for two reasons

  1. To address the requirement of a small C drive in corporate images.

  2. To improve performance of the application, more device files will be stored on the bridge rather than uploading to the server.

 

To make the change either at install time or a later date. Go to the Bridge Manager application on the Bridge and stop the service. Next expand Bridge Settings:

Click Change Folder and select the folder to move device Bridge Data to (please ensure the bridge service account has full permissions to the folder, if you have any special permissions setup). Any existing files will be automatically moved. If your service has been running for some time and you have the a large number of devices it may take a while to move the files.

When the files are moved restart the bridge service.
