The Dossier server itself is not connected to your AD server. It used the connectors to proxy the authentication requests to your Active Directory server. A connector is required to be installed in your environment. Please see Installation - Commander Connectors /wiki/spaces/HOME/pages/18579478 for connector installation steps. If you are using one of the Dossier for Lync products, you can assign the AD functions as per the guide to one of the connectors already installed in your Lync environment.

Multiple groups can be added to the system with varied User roles. If a user happens to belong to two or more user groups then the roles . from both the groups will apply to the user.
