  1. Create a SQL Server account (not a Windows or Active Directory account) which will be used to login to the server called ER_USER..
    1.  Right Click the main Security folder, point to New and select Login
    2. Select SQL Server Authentication
    3. Set the Login name to ER_USER and choose a password
    4. Uncheck User must change password at next login
    5. Click OK
  2. Create a new Database called ER_COMMANDER and leave the Owner as <default>.In the ER_COMMANDER database create a schema called 'ENGINEROOM'.
    1. Right Click on the Databases folder and select New Database
    2. Set the Database name to ER_COMMANDER
    3. Do not set anything else and click OK
  3. Expand the ER_COMMANDER database folder to create a schema. 
    1. In the ER_COMMANDER folder; right-click the Security folder, point to New and select Schema
    2. In the Schema - New dialog box enter ENGINEROOM for the schema name, then click OK
  4. In the ER_COMMANDER database create a new user for the database (note: this user is different to the ER_USER created to log into the SQL server) with all the settings below:
    1. User type: SQL user with login
    2. User name: ER_USER
    3. Login Name: ER_USER
    4. Default schema: ENGINEROOM
    5. In the Membership page select db_owner
